Terms and Conditions

These standard terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) shall govern the contractual relationship between “Charulekha” (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Merchant’) and the Customer(s) using/availing the website services (hereinafter also referred to as “You” or “Customer”).


By using the website one shall be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of its Customer name and password and will be responsible for all activities under such customer name and password.


The order placed by a Customer is accepted by the Merchant only after realization of the entire consideration amount displayed for such a product on the website. Till the time the entire consideration is received to the account of the Merchant, it has no obligation to sell or deliver the desired product. All orders regardless of remittance of payment are subject to availability of the desired jewellery/jewelry item(s) in stock. The Merchant may at its option cause the jewellery/jewelry item(s) to be hand-crafted after receipt of the entire consideration amount and acceptance of the order or may refuse to accept an order at any stage. In the event, an order is canceled by the Merchant after the Customer has remitted the consideration amount the merchant shall refund such amount to the Customer without interest.

All transactions on the website and use of the services of the Merchant shall be subject to a true, fair and accurate disclosure of information by the customer as may be called for.


The goods of the Merchant are deemed to be delivered once they have been dispatched through a third party courier with the Customer’s address given in his order for being made over to him or a person living in his household or to a neighbor, with instruction to obtain their receipt has been acknowledged in writing or electronically. The Merchant will issue an invoice regarding every transaction along with the item to be delivered to the Customer. The Customer shall inspect the goods promptly and inform the Merchant in text form (e.g. by e-mail) of any erroneous, defective, or missing articles. The amount of the shipping costs depends on the type, quantity and of the place of delivery of the goods, and is communicated together with the product prices to the website. No complaint or request will be entertained after 96 hours (Ninety-six hours) from physical handing over of the jewellery/jewelry items to the Customer.


In the event of detecting any suspicious activity, the Merchant reserves the right to cancel all past, pending and future orders without any liability. The Merchant also reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders in scenarios like inaccuracies in the pricing of product on website and stock unavailability.


The good(s) shall be considered to have a defect in quality if they have an inherent material or manufacturing defect. Minor deviations from the image shown on the Internet, for example, shall not be considered a defect.

    How will I learn about new products?

    Beautiful things come to those who subscribe to our newsletter, Charulekha members receive our weekly newsletter with information about new products launch of the week, so that they can producer the item before we run out of stock.

    What if an item is Sold Out?

    If an item appears as SOLD OUT, it means there are unfortunately none left to buy. Members can opt to contact us via “Enquery” form present on that product details section and send in their request. We will go back to our stock items to see if another unit can be produced. We shall revert back to you with the status. If the item can be produced you need to send us your mailing address with pin-code and contact number and the item will be dispatched once completed and quality checked. Before dispatch you are requested to transfer the necessary invoice amount via Bank transfer or PayTM.

    Our products are typically one of a kind, or extremely limited quantities, so if you like something, it’s a good idea to log on as early as possible and procure that item(s).

    Are payments securely processed?

    Payments are securely processed through CoD, Debit/Credit cards or Net banking using PayTM Gateway.

    What are the payment options at Charulekha?

    Currently Charulekha accepts CoD, NetBanking, CreditCard, DebitCard and PayTM. If you wish to collect your product(s) from our workshop or delivery points please call us at 9874429383 or 9836378328.

    Our Delivery Points are: Acropolis Mall, near Kalighat metro station, Howrah Station.

    Can I have my order Gift-wrapped?

    Yes, you can! After you successfully place your order with us. You can just call us on 9874429383 / 9836378328 or email on to inform us about your requirements with reference to your Order Number.

    How does Charulekha ship products?

    Usually we ship via DTDCIndia Post, etc. Our selection of logistics team will depends on your delivery address and mode of payment you select during checkout.

    How can I track my order?

    An email is sent to you after the order is shipped. It contains the tracking number and details.

    Where do you ship from?

    All items are shipped from Kolkata, West Bengal, India.

    What is Charulekha’s return policy?

    We’re a friendly bunch, and we know that sometimes you might just have a change of heart. Our Delivery & Returns section to help clarify how to go about returning item(s) you had purchased. You can also email/call us if you have any questions, and we’ll do everything we can to help.

    Do you arrange for a Reverse Pick-up?

    First of all kindly go through our Delivery & Returns policy.

    Reverse pickup is applicable on some of our shipping zone or if applicable by our logistics team. This is also depending on your location and shipper type.

    In some scenario, you may have to ship the product back to us at the given address and we shall refund the amount of shipping incurred by you, if your item returned meets our Delivery & Return policy.
